Slow Cooker Shredded Chicken Breasts

Ingredients
- 6 -10 chicken breasts
- 1⁄2 cup water
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄2 teaspoon pepper
- 1⁄2 teaspoon garlic powder
Directions
- Place the chicken breasts in the crock pot, Mix water and spices together and pour over the chicken.
- Cover slow cooker and cook chicken on low for 4-8 hours. (When I used 4 lbs. of chicken, it took about 6 hours. The time will depend on the amount of the chicken and your slow cooker.)
- Remove chicken breasts, shred or pull the meat from bones, removing skin.
- Place meat in individual freezer bags or containers and freeze until needed for recipes.
Tip: If you use boneless/skinless chicken breast, you will need to reduce cooking time and add 1/4 cup of additional water.
