BBQ MEATBALLS

BBQ Meatballs

 

Meatballs:

3 pounds lean ground beef

1 cup evaporated milk or 12 ounces milk

1 cup quick oatmeal

1 cup fine, dry bread crumbs

2 large eggs

1/2 cup finely chopped onion

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1 1/2 teaspoons salt

2 teaspoons chili powder

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

 

Sauce:

4 cups ketchup

2 cups brown sugar

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1/4 cup finely chopped onion

1 teaspoon liquid smoke

1/2 cup vinegar

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1/2 teaspoon paprika

 

Combine meatball ingredients and shape into 1-inch balls. Place in a single layer on cookie sheets lined with waxed paper. Freeze until solid; transfer to freezer bags until ready to cook. To cook, combine sauce ingredients; stir well. Place frozen meatballs in a 9x13-inch baking dish; pour sauce over them. Bake for 45 minutes to 1 hour at 350°. Makes about 6 dozen meatballs.
