Basic Chicken Salad


  1. 2 cups shredded cooked chicken breast (about 8 ounces)
  2. 1 apple, cored and chopped
  3. 3 ribs celery, chopped
  4. 2 tablespoons red onion, minced
  5. 1 cup seedless red grapes, halved
  6. 1/4 cup of walnuts, chopped
  7. 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  8. 1/2 cup plain yogurt salt and pepper, to taste


  1. Toss cooked chicken, chopped apple, celery, onion, grapes and walnuts into a large mixing bowl and give them a good stir.
  2. Fold in mayonnaise, yogurt, salt and pepper. Continue folding until all the ingredients are well-coated.
  3. Serve on buns or crossants.
